Nothing distinguishes Minusinski tomatoes from other varieties as impressive sizes. The appearance of tomatoes is so diverse that vegetables harvested from different bushes under the same general name do not have any characteristic features that would attribute them to the same type of fruit. There are varieties of tomatoes that are similar in shape to hearts or pods of sweet pepper, there are varieties of tomatoes with a pronounced sourness and honey, loose at the break and dense.

All Minusinsk tomatoes belong to the mid-season, indeterminate type, have a bush that forms in 1-2 stems (the stepson is the second stem) and, subject to agrotechnical conditions, yield from 4 to 6 kg per bush. Despite the amazing length of the stem, sometimes reaching 2.5 meters, the plant is extremely unstable and without a garter will break even during the formation of the first brushes.

Tomatoes of this variety, in comparison with the rest of the offspring from Minusinsk breeders, delight in their small size (only up to 500 g) and a neat rounded, slightly flattened at the stalk, shape. The color at the period of maximum maturity is red-pink, the skin is thin, the vegetable on the break exposes loose sugar pulp; the taste is sweet, without sourness.

Apple tomato (lumpy) and the growth of the stem is slightly lower than other Minusins ​​- only up to 180 cm, but just like the others, it needs a garter and the removal of unnecessary stepsons. For growing in the open field, these tomatoes, similar to glasses: pink, bright red and orange-pink (in an unripe form resembling Ruslan tomatoes), are not suitable for the middle and northern lane, therefore, these tomatoes are conventionally referred to as greenhouse tomatoes. The length of the stem of the plant reaches 250 cm, and the fruit-cups are surprisingly small, given the characteristics of the Minusins ​​in general - 300 g and less.

Grazing this type of tomato Minusinskys are carried out in full, and the bush itself is formed into one stem. Due to the relatively small size of the plant, it is allowed to plant 4 seedlings per 1 m2, while the promised yield of 3.5-4 kg per bush does not suffer.

The long fruit is not susceptible to cracking, the peel is quite dense, therefore it is suitable for conservation as a whole. However, due to the increased sugar content, tomatoes are most often consumed fresh or used in the preparation of various dishes.

In terms of external and taste characteristics, tomatoes of this type are confused with the Minusinskie Bychki variety, but the latter differs somewhat in the shape of the tomatoes, or rather, in the “blunt” spout. Otherwise, the growing conditions and methods of using vegetables are absolutely identical.

The Minusinsk giant is capable of producing vegetables weighing up to 1.5 kg, or it can give a scattering of relatively small 300-gram tomatoes - it all depends on the growing conditions and personal preferences of the gardener.

Since the stem of the plant is very high - from 2 m and more, tying and pinching are required, but for a better result, it is also recommended to carry out a pinching.

To obtain heavy, giant fruits, a long bush is formed into one main stem, all stepchildren are removed immediately after emergence, and the number of fruits per bush is regulated by the required amount. For standard yields with tomatoes weighing up to 700 g, you can leave the bottom stepchild to form a second stem. 1 m2 it is allowed to plant from 2 to 3 seedlings.

Burlak Minusinsky, the only early ripe variety from the entire selection collection of the presented series. The leaves of the plant resemble potato ones, the length of the main stem reaches 180 cm. The Burlak tomato gives the best results in yield when compiled in two stems.

Fruits of the variety are rather flat than round, the maximum weight of the fruit unit is about 500 g. The pulp is very sweet, with a well-defined graininess.

The Minusinsky tomato is the forerunner of all other varieties of this variety, therefore its characteristics are taken as the standard for breeding derived varieties. The original description of the variety provides information that the old Minusin plant fruited with tomatoes weighing over 2 kg, but now, when the bush is made into one stem, the stepsons are removed and other tricks of modern gardeners, only individual fruit units reach 1 kg and a little more.

When ripe, the pink fruit takes on a rich raspberry hue and sweet taste. Slightly unripe tomatoes have a slight sourness and are also suitable for cooking and preservation.

Minusinsk balls, in terms of the size of their bright, red-pink fruits, look like real dwarfs - only about 200 g, and the yield of the bush, compared to other Minusinskians, is considered average - within 3-3.5 kg, and this is with a two-stem formation!

The fruits are very dense, with a lot of juice, sweet, but they are intolerant to high soil moisture - they immediately begin to crack and quickly lose their presentation.

Minusinsky Yielding variety is one of the most fertile, capable of producing 6 kg or more per bush, with a relatively small plant as a whole. Fruits of the standard type - 200-250 g are obtained by making a bush in two stems, larger tomatoes - up to 400 g, grow on a single-stem bush.

The fruit at the fracture does not have granularity, the core is dense, juicy, moderately sweet, with a rich red hue. The fruits are used in all kinds of culinary recipes and are especially good at preservation.

For all types of this assortment, it is mandatory: pinching, pinching, mulching and timely feeding. The irrigation scheme for seedlings is the same for all large-fruited fruits, but hardening of seedlings before planting in the ground cannot be avoided - Minusinsk varieties are very susceptible to a sharp change in temperature conditions.
