Baycox drug

What diseases is Baycox used for?

The medicine is used for the prevention and treatment of coccidiosis (eimiriosis) in all groups of poultry. The disease is widespread in young chickens, with a low level of hygiene. The bird becomes infected with coccidia through dirty litter, the carriers are specimens that have recovered and wild birds.

Chickens kept on mesh floors do not get coccidiosis.

Parasites multiply in the stomach and intestines, disrupting the functioning of the digestive organs. Coccidiosis not only weakens the chicks but can kill them. The main symptom of the disease is brown diarrhea mixed with blood in a bird. Autopsy of dead specimens reveals an inflamed intestine with numerous small hemorrhages on the walls, the liver is covered with small white nodules.
